Training Certificates

Every Christian should be growing spiritually, this can only be accomplished  through the practical application of God's word in your life. Thus, ICI College has designed these training certificates to do just this, with exciting well research studies that have practical applications for all Christian wanting to live a powerful life of faith, in their home, church and local community. 

Certificate in Christian Service
Certificate in Ministry                 
Certificate in Pastoral Ministry

You can start with a Christian Service Certificate, progress to the Ministry Certificate, and concluded with the Pastoral Certificate (cannot start with the Ministry or Pastoral Certificates, as these certificates build upon the previous Christian Service Certificate).

All the Training Certificates courses each have there own independent study workbooks to guide the student in there studies. 

Costs:

  • Enrolled per subject is $120.00 or only $396.00 for four subjects if purchased and enrolled at the same time (this includes study guide, academic charges, and postage)

  • Application fee $35.00 

Additional fees if needed:

  • Re-enrolment $80.00 (6 months)

  • Extensions (6 months) $60.00

  • Spouse rate $70.00 a subject (no study guide provided)

  • Certificate fee $30.00

  • Program evaluation $60.00 (update $20.00)

  • Study guides are available for private study without credit given for $40.00 (plus postage)

  • An Instructor’ Guide is available for group studies ($30.00)

Requirements for each subject

All Training Certificates subjects have these assessments:-

  • There are 3 Unit Progress Evaluations (UPEs) which are worth 30% of final grade

  • 1 Project of 500 - 750 words which is worth 50% of final grade

  • A Practicum Report (practical involvement in the local church) involving 10 hours of service which is worth 20% of final grade

Descriptions of each module (subject)
All of these courses are intended to develop the Christian in the practice of their faith. Each study is on average 225 pages of study.

Spiritual Life

Studies In Christian Maturity (CS3111)

This course is an introductory study to the subject of the Christian’s growth. The study gives attention to the role of Christian service in the believer’s growth, also pointing out how the student may progress towards Christ likeness in daily Christian living and service.

Studies In Prayer And Worship (CS3211)

This course is a study on prayer and worship with emphasis on the priority of God’s glory and God’s kingdom over man’s needs and wants. It also emphasizes the fact that all things that are needed will be provided for the believer who honours his priority.

Studies In Christian Stewardship (CS3311)

This study looks at what the Bible says about stewardship- the role of God as owner and man as steward-explaining how the Christian should exercise his responsibility for faithful management of the things for which God has entrusted him. In addition, it will deal with his relationship to his home, church, and community as a steward.

The Bible

Studies In The New Testament (CS1121)

This course gives the student an overall knowledge of the content of the New Testament through its emphasis on the historical setting, characteristics, and teachings in its books. It will help the Christian worker become better equipped to share the New Testament’s truth with others.

Studies In the Old Testament (CS1221)

This introduction to the Old Testament deals with the sequence and meaning of the experiences of God’s people, paying special attention to God’s mighty acts and prophetic words. The student will discover many truths in this course, which will help them in their personal walk with God and understanding of the Bible.

    Studies In Hermeneutics (CS1321)

In this course, you will gain an understanding of the value of skilled procedures of observation and interpretation as aids to understanding the Bible. Its purpose is to help you apply Biblical truth to your own life and share it with others.

Theology

A Study of Bible Doctrines (CS2131)

This practical, systematic study of basic Bible doctrines includes a look at the topics of: the nature of God; the acts of God; the activities and limitations of angels; Creation; the fall of man; God’s redemptive plan; the origin of the Scriptures; the church; and, God’s ultimate plan for mankind.

A Study Of Salvation (CS2231)

This study presents salvation as both the will and work of God, which rest upon the atoning work of Christ. Included in this study are the biblical teachings of repentance, faith, conversion, regeneration, justification, adoption, sanctification, and glorification.

A Study Of The Holy Spirit (CS2331)

In this course, the Holy Spirit is presented as a personal, powerful, and practical Friend who abides in the Spirit-filled believer, and through him reveals Jesus Christ to the world. This is a practical guide for a student who desires a spirit-filled life.

The Church

Studies In Church Ministry (CS3141)

This course is designed to help the student gain a better understanding of: 1) the importance of the church in God’s plan for the world; 2) the importance of the Christian’s role in Christ’s plan for the church; and, 3) how they can become involved in doing God’s will through ministry in the church.

Studies In Starting Churches (CS3241)

This practical course stresses the importance of establishing new churches as a means of evangelising the world. It gives guidelines to help any church become involved in the task of planting churches, thereby becoming a multiplying church.

Studies In Christian Education (CS3341)

This is a study of the biblical basis for the nurturing ministry and the practical application of teaching in the church today. It gives emphasis to the needs of the pupils in various stages of human development and to the various opportunities for Christian nurturing through the ministry of local church programs, sharing groups, and the Christian home.

Service

A Study of Spiritual Gifts (CS3151)

In this course, the student will look at the three different types of spiritual gifts: 1) Ministry: including church leadership; 2) Other Ministry Gifts: ministry gifts available to all believers; and, 3) Gifts of the Spirit: the nine gifts of the Spirit available to all believers.

A Study Of Preaching And Teaching (CS3251)

This course is a basic study of two Biblical methods of communicating God’s word. The student is guided in the understanding and mastery of practical ways to prepare and present lessons and sermons from Scripture.

Studies In Personal Evangelism (CS3351)

This practical course is designed to teach the student how to lead people to put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord, as well as helping the student learn how to teach personal evangelism to others. Special emphasis is given to the dynamic ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God in effecting conversions.

Christian Ethics  

A Study Of Christian Ethics (CS3161)  

This study focuses on the sources of problems, methods of problem solving, and ways of finding solutions, from a Christian perspective. Biblical solutions are given for all problem areas- including that of sexuality, relationships, suffering, and death- which provide a solid foundation for the Christian to find solutions for their problems.

A Study Of Christian Leadership (CS3261)  

This course introduces the student to the theory and practice of leadership, and guides them through the application of both biblical and theoretical principles. The main emphasis of this course is upon development of gifts and capacities, and interpersonal relationships among leaders and followers.

A Study Of Christian Character (CS3361)

This course emphasizes the development of Christian qualities and their out workings in the Christian’s relationships and services. Biblical definitions and examples are emphasized in describing the nine dimensions of spiritual fruit. Practical applications are made which relate these characteristics to the individual Christian life.
